Lead Pastor
Pastor Michael graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in December 2008, shortly before marrying Katie and moving to Manchester, England in September 2009 to complete an MA in theology. Upon returning to the States, Pastor Michael served as a student life pastor in Michigan, a discipleship pastor while he earned an MDiv at Asbury Theological Seminary, and a lead pastor for the first time in Fort Walton Beach. Katie, Michael, and their three children moved to Lafayette in December 2021 and have never felt more at home. In his free time, Michael enjoys smoked meats, the writings of the Eastern church, collegiate sports, and coaching youth soccer. Michael believes that a full life is about getting your love right, and is hopeful for both himself and others that we can grow into Christlikeness through the rightful patterns and habits that shape us, and the often subtle but always encouraging presence of God.
Director of Student Ministries
Ashley graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Christian Education. Since graduating she has had experience both at public school and church ministry. She has a heart for missions and has served in 5 different countries on missions trips, including China. Ashley met her husband Marcus while he was serving in the U.S Navy. They got married in July 2022 and now have two precious daughters. She loves being a "girl Mom!" Ashley has a passion for young people to know that they are loved by God and are essential to the church body as a whole. She has a desire to see young people grow stronger in their relationship with God and in turn develop an unwavering devotion to Him and His church. Lastly, fun facts about Ashley are that she loves cats, has way too many coffee mugs, and is a firm believer that if you are having a bad day that the perfect remedy is ice cream and to watch “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” (no matter what season it is).
