Upon returning to the States, Pastor Michael served as a student life pastor in Michigan, a discipleship pastor while he earned an MDiv at Asbury Theological Seminary, and a lead pastor for the first time in Fort Walton Beach. Katie, Michael, and their three children moved to Lafayette in December 2021 and have never felt more at home. In his free time, Michael enjoys smoked meats, the writings of the Eastern church, collegiate sports, and coaching youth soccer. Pastor Wendel has gone on to serve both South African and American churches, gaining a unique cross-cultural perspective. He has dedicated his life to serving Christ through ministry, including preaching, pastoring, teaching, and leading worship. Wendel also enjoys walks in nature, going fishing, and writing. Since graduating she has had experience both at public school and church ministry. She has a heart for missions and has served in 5 different countries on missions trips, including China. Ashley met her husband Marcus while he was serving in the U.S Navy. They got married in July 2022 and now have two precious daughters. She loves being a "girl Mom!" Ashley has a passion for young people to know that they are loved by God and are essential to the church body as a whole. She has a desire to see young people grow stronger in their relationship with God and in turn develop an unwavering devotion to Him and His church.
