What to Expect

Welcome to Our Website

We are glad that you've stopped by to check us out. Whether you've yet to visit us or you've already been to our Sunday morning service or other events, we want to give you a glimpse of what you can expect on a typical weekend at Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene.

What is the Sunday morning worship service like?

Our weekly 10:45 Sunday service features a blended worship experience of older hymns, newer songs, prayer, Scripture readings and a relevant Bible-based message. Our first time guests are not singled out, but invited to leave their contact information if they choose.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. People who attend Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene wear everything from shorts to business suits. Feel free to dress as you see fit!

What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings our great nursery staff provides care for children, birth through toddlers throughout the service. School aged children (through 5th grade) are encouraged to join the congregation for singing and then are free to join our Children's Church staff upstairs for a kid-oriented lesson.

What if I am not a Christian?

Come anyway! Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene is not a Christian Country Club, but a place to find hope, help, and healing. We won't badger you or thump you with a huge Bible. What we will do is welcome you and make you feel at home.
