Effectiveness of Children's Ministry Team
Parent Survey Results
- Approximately 68% (14) of parents with children through 6th grade participated.
- Most parents (35%) had Kindergarten and 1st grade students.
- The remaining age groups had 11-15% of children in them.
- 71% of parents attended Sunday School regularly while only 64% of their children did.
- No dominate reason for not attending Sunday School.
- 57% attended Caravan and most who did not had other commitments (parents &s; children).
- Biblical knowledge was almost evenly split between "needs improvement" and "adequate for age".
- Nearly all rated safety very satisfied or satisfied with no one listing any dissatisfaction.
- Parents ranked the core values of the Strategic Children's Ministry Team:
- Introducing relationship with Jesus
- Security
- Educate how to minister to others
- Events supported by congregation
- Children recognized by congregation
- Most rated overall satisfaction very satisfied or satisfied with 2 each for neutral and dissatified.
- Some commented more fellowship was needed. There already is a plan in place to address this.
- There was some concern over Children's Worship Service. The effectiveness of the delivery, organization, and curriculum is currently being reviewed.
