Caravan
Pointing Kids to Christ!
Wednesdays 7-8PM
Caravan is a scouting-or kids' club-type of program for children age 4 (by Aug 1) through sixth grade. Caravan uses an active, hands-on learning approach to help children grow physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually. Caravan focuses on teaching everyday skills with a distinctly Christian focus.
So What is Caravan?
- A character building program for children, based on Luke 2:52: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." (NIV)
- A visitor-friendly, kids-club type of ministry designed primarily for mid-week services at the local church level.
- A fun Bible-based environment, where kids learn practical skills in the areas of spiritual growth and Christian discipleship.
- Ministry projects are a major emphasis of Caravan. Kids are taught how to use their talents and gifts to serve God.
- Skill badges can be earned in four separate categories: Mental (wisdom), Physical (stature), Spiritual (favor with God), and Social (favor with people)
- Searchers (grades 1 & 2) have the opportunity to earn one or two badges per month, maintaining their interest and enthusiasm througout the Caravan season.
- In addition to badges, Explorers (grades 3 & 4) and Adventurers (grades 5 & 6) can earn awards pertaining to eight important Christian characteristics known as Core Values
Nursery - Ages 2 & 3 year olds (Nursery Buddies)
